Critical Incident Stress Management Team
The Regional CISM program is an extremely important element of the Council's operation. Our CISM teams are trained to assist EMS agencies and providers, law enforcement personnel, fire department personnel, and others who are exposed to stressful situations in the performance of their duties. Teams consist of peer debriefers and mental health professionals. All team members are volunteers, serving without compensation. Teams are on call 24 hours a day and are available by using the contact information below.
The Regional CISM Team is also available to make presentations to agencies upon request. You may contact the Roanoke WVEMS office at 800-972-4367 or wvemscism@gmail.com to request a presentation.
